Maldives is for all seasons. Of course, you can have your choice of sun and shower, sea and surf at any time of the year or, if you prefer, in the peak season (Christmas-New Year) that finds the islands most pleasant but more crowded. But be prepared to face booking pressures and higher prices in the tourist season (December to April) when it is mostly dry. This is the time especially for divers, owing to clear waters and excellent visibility. You will find it warm but humid from May to November, with cloudy skies and occasional monsoon showers. For tourism in general, this is the low season.
