The design for Holiday Island reveals a grouping of low - rise rectangular shaped individual bunglows joined by covered walkways. The main complex is surrounded by landscaped gardens amidst tropical vegetation and crystal clear sea, thus offering the visitor an enchanting view of undulating greens interspersed with azure sea. the word Dhiffushi is a Dhivehi word meaning long uninhabited island. The interior of the hotel reflects modernization with heavy usage of modern amenities, antique furniture and paintings by local artists.

Holiday Island is located on the tip of South Ari-Atoll, about 97km from Male international airport. The length of the island island is 700m while its width is 100m. Holiday Island has one of the largest lagoons making it a water sports paradise.
It has also very famous Whale Shark points close by and many diving points plus Manta point for those who love under water world!
